This kid looks good. I didn't catch his first ST start, but hes got a really really wicked curve. Don't want to jump the gun, but he basically seems like Humber, but a lefty. Low 90s fastball with good curve. His curve is definitely 12-6 and has a sharper dive. From what I remember, Humber's curve looked more like 11-5 and didn't have as much diving action.

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but his fastball is all over the strikezone, unlike the traditional Peterson philosophy. Hopefully he can develop into something. His curve is great. If he can develop a third pitch, this guy has potential.. a lot of potential. Unlike guys like Pelfrey, he already has a reliable 2nd pitch which can get guys out, and that is very encouraging.
