Shawn Green Appreciation Thread.

He's hitting 391. If he keeps this up, he'll probably win the batting title.
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

More like if he keeps this up he gets to keep his job in the OF.

Go, Greenie! We'll need everyone's help. Especially when others in the lineup aren't producing yet.

Yeah just don't drop easy fly balls in the outfield which already cost us one game.

Yeah that dropped ball wasn't helping anyone. Maybe he should keep the sunglasses over his eyes not on his cap.

But yeah kudos to him on his good start, but he has to keep it up in order for him to keep his spot out there away from Lastings.

Best Case Scenario

Green hits over 300.

We trade him for a young pitcher with an arm - just like we did with Nady.

:-)

2nd best case scenario - Green hits over 300 for us all year long.

3rd best case scenario - Green slumps - we bring up Milledge. I can live with this.

Shawn Green has only hit over .300 once in his career, 1999...back when he was on the juice.

One thing he does have in common with Nady, both are TERRIBLE fielders.

Guess we should trade him now.

Half & Half...

His hitting has improved, but his field is horrible.

Why didn't Willie make a double switch yesterday in the top of the 7th inning.

We could have used Chavez.

He is raking right now but he still is a terrible, terrible defender.
