that pretty much sums up the whole argument.

The arguement is, if you are starting a team, which player are you taking, even as of RIGHT NOW, A-Rod or Reyes???

Is it Arod's fault that he is on a more talented team? I mean, yeah... you take Arod off this team and we aren't as effected as if you took Reyes off the Mets. But is that really a fault of Arod?

To me it says that the Yankees have the more well-rounded (and expensive) team.

You can't at ALL make that kind of sense. I can easily bring a comparison that will shut that bull DOWN!!!
Take Wade of the Heat right now...
And take Marbury of the Knicks right now...

Which team will do better...I'll let you make yourselves look like idiots.

Sure they Yanks have more talent on there team, but its not like its working or that much of a difference. No its not A-Rod's fault that Reyes is a five tool player that makes an impact in every game. A-Rod not so much, but why even compare the two?

Last I checked A-Rod was a third basemen...

I think it would be funny is someone chose A-Rod personally.

To start a team, if you chose Reyes, THAT would be funny. I think you Met fans are being blinded by the constant knocking of A-Rod. You guys aren't factoring in that he isn't as injury prone as Jose, and is a candidate for MVP, and the best bet for someone to ever get a triple crown in the MLB ever again.

It was a comparion of baseball to basketball, but I can do it for any sport too.
Take Wright off the Mets...
Take Rolen of the Cards...
Cards would lose ALOT more, but that doesn't make Rolen better than Wright...now talk!!

You can't compare it, thats why we are laughing at you Met fans that need to calm down sometimes with these comparisons. Reyes is an AWESOME player. A-Rod is going down as one of the greatest ever. Yankee or not buddy.

Reyes is the younger player and makes an impact. Reyes is not a candidate for MVP, nonsense. I look at Pujols he could get a triple crown, A-Rod falls behind him.

Take Rolen off the Cards, lets look at last year. Check they did good, in fact I think they won the World Series.
Take Wright off the Mets, he was a ghost the second half. However we still ended up doing good.

Reyes drives this team, kappish?

You didn't read ANY of the earlier posts.
The thing was take Reyes off the Mets and take A-Rod of the Yanks, and the Mets would suffer more so SUPPOSEDLY that would suggest that Reyes is better which is 100% false, it matters about the team.

The Wright/Rolen comparison is for the SEASON, not just the second half. You tell me, which team would suffer more, and obviously that wouldn't suggest that Rolen right now is better.

And you just answered the arguement, Reyes is whatever to the Mets, but comparing the two players, career wise and today?? Ask around and see who people would take. A great all-around player or a MVP candidate EVERY SINGLE SEASON that is only 30 years of age and can retire TODAY one of the greatest players of all time???

It would suggest that Reyes is the more important player to there respective team. Thats what the question was supposed to prove.

As far as this thread im going to lock it. Having two Yankee threads on a Met forum is foolish. Lets keep it in the Yankee bashing thread.
