it's always great entertainment watching them choke in the playoffs to a team with 1/2 their payroll every year...it's even going to be better this year watching them choke it up after spending all that money on cc, burnett and tex

A team spending $130 million on payroll that won't even stay above .500... is that a new record?

Talk about an epic squander of resources.... when is the last time the Yankees came even close to being under .500? You'd have to go back 17 or so years..

Have you looked the the list of players they have on the injured list? They have more good hurt players than good healthy ones. Injuries to key players can hurt a team's record, they say.

over value our prospects? Holt and Mejia are two of the top pitching prospects in baseball...what the hell do you know? ask any scout around baseball. This coming from a fan of the Yankees, who have been notorious for overvaluing their prospects, is pretty comical..

everybody gets injuries? sure they do...but not at the severity the mets have been hit with this year..name me any team that has been hit with this many injuries to their top guys at this longevity...yeah that's what I thought.

no way, the mets have no good prospects. Their top prospects did nothing in the bigs.

people like this is why i hate met fans. The never are humble, they act like they achieved something when they really did nothing and they hate on the yanks for not having recent success in the playoffs but choke every year and not even make the playoffs. And dont even use the salary excuse you guys have been among the top every year.

When is the last time the Yankees have won anything? It has been YEARS since they have won the World Series.

There is an air of entitlement around Yankee fans, that unlimited money is supposed to equal winning the World Series every year. It is like what you see around the Cowboys. It is why people don't like the Yankees and hate Yankee fans. Like when have the Yankee fans EVER been humble?

What you are seeing is a backlash against this feeling of entitlement people detect. What you think you see in Mets fans is a reflection of what is going on with Yankee fans. I will assume you are a Yankee fan, so all that is projecting yourself.

Anyhow, all this being said, I am a NY sports fan. I want Subway everything every year.
