Yes both he and Willie deserve a lot of credit. Willie showing confidence in Ollie to pitch the 8th, then take him out and show even more confidence in rookie Joe Smith to get out Jeter. Also having Endy swing away after showing bunt was a great move. Yesterday too, Willie managed a great ninth inning.
Peterson is just a GREAT pitching coach.

man, what robbery.
I was wrong earlier for bringing up the Kazmir thread but this may be even more of a robbery then the Kazmir deal. Perez is one of the best pitchers in baseball and has a top 5 slider in baseball when he is on.

Honestly, If someone asked me right now, Kazmir or Perez...I would think really hard. I'd probably pick Kazmir in the end but it would be a very tough decision. I would like to see Ollie continue his dominance over a season but he's shown enough consistency since the outing vs. Philly to convince me that he's turned it around.
If we don't trade Kazmir, theres an excellent chance we don't have Omar. I don't even care about Kazmir anymore, he's not even in my thoughts.

Sweet win.
Amazing catch by Wright for an out. Great throw by Endy for another. You can say we beat the Yanks with Endy's homer, but I think we beat them with D. Close game & Great win.
With all the fun we might make of the Yanks with a losing record - they played us hard tonight. It was a close game.
