"According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets have released RHP Ryota Igarashi.

Igarashi went 4-1 with a 4.66 ERA in 45 games for the Mets this season. In his two years with the Mets, he went 5-2 with a 5.74 ERA in 69 innings spanning 79 innings, allowing 79 hits and walking 49 batters over that span."

Unfortunately, Ryota Igarashi never seemed to find his groove in his time in NY. He has pretty good stuff, but he just doesn't seem to have any command of it. Good luck Ryota. Hope you can find another team to join.
