Bartolo Colon helped the New York Mets defeat the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, earning his Major League-leading sixth win in the process.

Colon is the first Mets pitcher to go six straight starts without issuing a walk. He has gone 40 1/3 innings without a free pass.

The 41-year-old now has a 40-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio this season.

"It's not about the velocity," Colon said through an interpreter. "It's about execution."

The Big Cat. Good idea we decided to keep him.

Hope he wants to keep pitching so we can get a compensation pick off of him

I like the way you think. I don't know why he wouldn't assuming no health issues arise. My God, he's been dominant.

Colon is pitching like a bizzaro world Maddux. Not a damn thing that's overpowering, but the location and change of speeds has been sublime. At this point in time I'm glad we didn't move him at the deadline last year, because the players really rally whenever Colon has to move.
