Hopefully degrom can keep it going and the bats stay awake. THEY Got a tough assignment in Lester. maybe lagares remembers how to steal bases since Lester can't throw to first

Jacob has been slow to find his groove, though his last start was much better. I think there was a bit of an adjustment when Plaw started catching him in the Yankees game. I was amazed at all the fastballs Jacob was throwing without mixing up his pitches. Then the next start, he had trouble with his location.

I'm waiting for him to go on a roll.

saw the same thing in the Yankee game. Flores's error really killed him and he could t overcome it in that nationals games. Besides that he did a pretty decent job

it's crazy the neither him or Harvey have really found that groove and we are still 9 games over. Especially Harvey. I don't get that "he might throw a no hitter every night feeling" I had with him 2 years ago. Can't wait for him to get everything working.

DeGrom was trusting his fastball too much. His getting his change back on track. But I would like to see him whipping that curveball some more. I think it's underrated.

This is the perfect showcase for both teams this series, both have a ton of young talent and this could be the time to peek into the other teams. Isn't it ironic that we called up Thor for THIS series? No not really, but I do love me some Castro/Russell.

Yeah, I heard this one Yankee fan call up and go one about how Pineda is pitching just as well as Harvey (and he is if you look at the stats especially if you include yesterdays 16 strikeout 0 walk game by Pineda). But Harvey is still coming back from TJS. So we have to take that into consideration. I prepared myself this year for Harvey not being quite Harvey yet. They say that it usually takes a year before the pitcher is back to his old self and in many cases is even better than his old self.

It is. Sometimes these pitchers warm up and one of their pitches isn't working like it normally does. But I think you still have to throw it even if it's just "for show." Let 'em see it. Throw it in the dirt or whatever. But simply not throwing it is a mistake IMO.

Duda needs to go on a power surge. We need some consistent pop.

euhhh, nothing worse than ending a game with a double play.

Wish Collins let Plaw hit, and used Granderson as the pinch hitter for Goedell.

Castro made a game saving play really on that catch, Granderson might've scored on that one, at least goes to third.

not only that, in the prior inning the mets had cuddyer on 1st and no outs. And duda racked one down the line which would have been a double and either scored cuddyer or got him to 3rd.

really just hit into bad luck the other night.

granderson did exactly what he was asked to do, work a tough AB and try and draw a walk.

Herrera smoked the ball and he was robbed, and even Monnell hit the ball on the noise right at the 2B. I have no problem with how terry managed that inning. We honestly just hit into bad luck.
