It doesn't necessarily mean he is gone, but it's pretty unlikely he returns now.

Thank goodness. I love Murphy but somewhere he is going to get a 4 year deal for 12 million per. He deserves it, unfortunately the Mets are intrigue with Dilson Herrera. Give me that first round pick!

Will the Mets get a late 1st round pick if Murphy signs elsewhere?

I heard it will be a pick after the first round.
