Where (if at all) does Cespedes fit in? Is he finished or is he expected to be back and play some sort of role with the team?

I think he will return mid season with a limited role. Nimmo and Conforto are starters. Lagares is injury prone. Broxton is a defensive specialist from what I heard. They are going to be depleted in CF for the first half of the season. Lagares and Broxton will provide little to no offense.

But coming back from injury. I don't see Cespedes being ok with playing CF. He prefers LF. Which means Conforto might have to move there for some games if we want to see a Cespedes-Conforto-Nimmo outfield.

Also, the infield is pretty stacked, and you still have Alonso coming up; So I would not be totally surprised if somebody from there moved to the outfield for some games. It's been mentioned before (I heard Travis D might play some outfield lol).
