Yes. I didn't visit the MLB Diamond board that often, because RealGM didn't have a thread where we can talk about the team.

The Mets face Kip Wells next a scrub who the past 3 seasons has had an ERA of 6.69 (5.63 w/Tex), 5.09, and 4.55 so I'm not worried about this bag of doo-doo
The the Mets face Braden Pooper who only has 2 pitches that suck.
I'm not saying anything but I will say that the pitchers the Mets are facing aren't any better than El Duque and Maine.

Here was some of the post game comments from last nights game

Here are some quotes from from the Mets following last night's Opening Night win over the St. Louis Cardinals, from an article by Mark Hale in The New York Post...
Paul Lo Duca...
"Unbelievable," "We played great defense, [a] textbook game. We didn't make any mistakes, and if that happens, we're going to win a lot of ballgames because we're going to put up runs. Our lineup is too good."
Tom Glavine...
"That's how I think we envision ourselves winning ballgames, we played great defense, got pretty good pitching. We made some pitches when we had to. I know I did. But those guys played great defense behind us and scored some runs. That's what we need to do."
Willie Randolph on bringing in untested rookie Joe Smith...
"Cause I liked the matchup there, plain and simple. He showed a lot of poise for me all spring,"
Don Burke in The Star Ledger, quotes Joe Smith on his Mets major league debut...
"It was as much fun as I thought it would be, I was more nervous running in from the bullpen than anything.
"And when I got to the mound I just wanted to smile, but Willie was there. As soon as he left, guys started cracking jokes."
"I didn't know what to expect, but I expected to be much more nervous," he said. "I felt really comfortable out there."
Jose Valentin on his great diving snare to set up a spectacular double play...
"It [would have been] a different game if that ball goes through. The game [would] be 5-3 with one out and then who knows, they've probably still got second and third, so it was a play that changed the whole game, and thank God that I was in the right spot, right time."
Glavine, on Carlos Beltran's outfield assist to throw out David Eckstein at the plate...
"It was big, it cuts the momentum."
