Confirmation that Guerra is hitting 96 MPH

Post#1 » by blueNorange » Thu Apr 5, 2007 5:46 pm

Got this from another site.

Justin (Queens, NY): Welcome Chris, I know the Mets have a plethora of outstanding position players down on the farm, but what do you know about their pitching prospects?

SportsNation Chris Kline: Plethora?
Not exactly a word I would chooseto use when discussing that system, but . . .
I can tell you that RHP Deolis Guerra (who turns 18 on the 17th of this month) was hitting 96 mph this spring . . . He could be a beast. Young, raw, but huge upside.

(I cant post the rest because its from espn.com insider)
GAWD DAYUM :o

He already has an advanced change-up and at age 18 can hit 96 on the gun
LOL Y U MAD THO?

Wasn't he compared to King Felix after we signed him?

I hope this guy gets in good shape in the Minors this season. Would like to see him up sometime next year blowing batters away.

That might be the problem, after we signed him. I have yet to see any comparison to Felix, there really shouldn't be one anyway.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
