Whew, he was grinding it out and laboring every inning, it seemed. But he did admirably for his first start, methinks. Hopefully, he's got the jitters of the first game out of the way now.

He showed some composure and got out of a few tight spots.. That's admirable for a rook.

he got out of trouble. i think he pitched decent. he couldve done alot better tho. i went to the game last night

he would have given up 5or 6 runs and been knocked out early had he been facing a major league team

The Expos have some good hitters - don't get down on them. They are a major league club.
and, mostly by looked good - I liked his motion - he looks really solid, throws hard. I like his movement - it seems easy - a lot of pitchers seem to labor out there, trying to put their best stuff on every pitch. Pelf looked like an athlete to me, just out there throwing. His being 6'5 or whatever he is, doesn't hurt either, but he's not lanky at all - he's a tall guy who moves like he's 5'10 and 170 lbs (I mean that as a good thing).
