What are our feelings towards this guy? He seems like he is on the verge to become that promising rookie that he once was in some starts, while others he looks like the inconsistent pitcher we cant stand.

Do you think Peterson is actually getting through to him?
Do you think this is the Perez we should expect game by game?

Im happy he is giving us the strikeout guy that we need, but man a little consistency wouldnt hurt.

Peterson must be getting through to him b/c when he doesn't perform/walks the whole other team, its his mechanics that are off (arm angle) which is what Peterson supposedly fixed/is in process of fixing. Id love to expect this but like i just referred to, hes had starts where his delivery and arm angle are sometimes way off and he begins aiming his pitches and walking half the team - but if he does perfect everything eventually/hopefully, he will be disgusting.

edit:.. i still cant believe this guy was a throw in for nady.. teams love giving up on good arms after only a season or 2 of struggling (kc n burgos too)

i'm with you on the amazing thing.... I'd hate to imagine where we would be without some of those trades. Only thing is it hurt to see the X man go. I really liked him and his potential.

It's crazy that Maine and Perez were throw in's in the trades. Perez should be the next great starter that was wasted in the Pirates rotation.
