Pelfrey pitching for his NY career?

Post#1 » by eviL » Thu Jun 28, 2007 1:17 am

Word is out that Pelfrey will pitch one of the DH games on Friday against Philly. My question is, is Omar giving him one last chance? Allowing Pelfrey to show if he's learned from his mistakes early in the season and got his sh*t together before he packages him for someone who can help us win now?

no.

this kid throws 97. hes young and needs to develop secondary pitches, just like maine has last year leading into this year. we're not giving up on him, and even if he bombs, this shouldnt be his last shot as a met.

well at least with the rain out, we don't necessarily have to start Pelfrey. We have options

Pelfrey didnt pitch that bad at all today especially in a hitter's park. His stuff is much better then last time though.

Cmon guys, he's only 23 years old. He'll be fine. I am not giving up on a 23 year old pitcher with his stuff.
