Scouting Report:
Mets: Cut off by thunderstorms, Glavine pitched his first shutout since September 2005 against the Cardinals in his last start. The veteran lefty, who pitched six innings before rain delays ended his outing prematurely, allowed just one hit and no runs. On his way to 300 wins, Glavine will look for No. 298 against the Rockies.
Rockies: Hirsh got into trouble for hanging breaking balls in his last start, but he showed improved fastball command, giving up five runs (three on a Mark DeRosa home run) in five innings of a loss at Wrigley Field. Hirsh struck out four and walked four, with three of his free passes coming in one frame. Hirsh retired his last seven batters.

Scouting Report:
Mets: Oliver Perez was supposed to get the start, but a strained lower back will shelve the left-hander. Thursday's rainout was supposed to solve some of the Mets' rotation problems, allowing them to avoid recalling Mike Pelfrey from Triple-A to make the start. But they had to call up Pelfrey after all, sending the right-hander to the mound Sunday in the Mets' series finale in Philadelphia. Candidates to start include Jason Vargas or Aaron Sele, or make a 40-man roster change and bring up Brian Lawrence. Sele is an option, but Mets manager Willie Randolph may need to keep Sele in reserve for long relief.
Rockies: After struggling in two straight starts, Cook bordered on masterful in his last start, a no-decision on the road against the Astros. With his sinker working and with him relying on it, he held the Astros to one run on seven hits over seven innings. Craig Biggio had three of the hits, including No. 3,000.

Scouting Report:
Mets: Maine pitched brilliantly in pitcher-unfriendly Citizens Bank Park on Friday night. He has won his past three starts and has walked none in four of his six past outings. Maine has allowed 35 baserunners and 12 runs over his last 40 2/3 innings.
Rockies: Fogg has struggled, giving up 12 runs in 9 2/3 innings over his last two appearances. The last one, a game the Rockies eventually lost to the Astros on Friday night, was particularly concerning. The Rockies got three home runs in the early-to-middle innings, but Fogg, experiencing poor command of the strike zone, gave up seven runs in 4 2/3 and left the game behind.
