. Only 9 guaranteed contracts, and 10 if Glavine picks up his options.
$78.3m w/o Glavine | w/ Glavine $87.3m
$78M will give Omar 40M+ to play around with.

well. we're going to need to re-sign:
John Maine
Pedro Felicano
Oliver Perez
And I'd like to re-sign: Duaner Sanchez (for cheap), Ramon Castro, Ambrioux Burgos.
I'd defintely like to sign Carlos Zambrano, and possibly another SP/RP arm.
I wouldn't mind Loduca coming back.
Let Glavine go.

Yeah man... If Zamby doesnt get extended we have to go after him hard but the max I will sign a pitcher is 5 years with a team option on the 4th year.

We need to come to deals with Maine, Perez and Burgos before Arbitration kicks in. Id let Lo Duca go if he wanted to much money and without a doubt resign Feliciano.

I think our Priority #1 should be to re-sign Julio Franco to a multi year deal. Give him a 3-4 year deal.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
Minaya's offseason wishlist would probably be like this:
C: Jose Molina or Ivan Rodriguez
2nd base: Luis Castillo
LF: Luis Gonzalez
He'll probably get a starter
SP: Victor Zambrano if not
SP: Javier Vasquez, Livan Hernandez, Freddie Garcia
Bench: Neifi Perez(if he has a good apology)

Sign Zambrano, 6 year, 100M.
Team option on year 4.
Doubt that happens :\

yeah, let lo duca go. his years of catching are taking their toll on his production...same thing happens to every catcher. but i'd prefer not to have castro play every day...like endy, he's much better off the bench, but i'm sure he's sick of being the backup

i think ramon would be a solid starter..his #s are very similiar to lo duca in less abs

no, Ramon would get exposed as a starter. He's ebst served off the bench or a platoon.

florida tried to play him as a starter and it was an absolute disaster. he is a very poor hitter (like endy) when he plays every day
