... there was already speculation since last years deadline about us being interested in Conine, it's not some big surprise. Trying to credit yourself for something so small.

He is used to hitting off the bench, so at least thats somewhat of a plus. Playoff experience is nice, and for only two A pitchers you cant go wrong.

Castro and Henry were traded for him. I liked Henry but not really a big deal to me, Conine is a guy who is going to help contribute in big spots.

Nice addition.
Conine is a 2 time WS champion, and should bring plenty of veteran and playoff leadership/experience to a contender as he has done twice already with the Marlins.
It's just weird seeing Castillo as a Met, and now Conine, too. lol
