"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

did it take you 10 seconds to open this thread?

or, worse, did it take you 10 seconds to figure out what was going on?

It took me five seconds to think the Marlins might be moving to New York, and 5 more to realize why anyone would want to use that hideous logo again

The Marlins are most likely headed to Portland or Las Vegas if they can't get a deal done.

The Pirates or Reds would move over to the NL East while the Marlins would move to the AL West.

The Divisions would look like this:
AL East:
Red Sox
Yankees
Blue Jays
Orioles
Rays (Without the Devil)

AL Central:
Indians
Tigers
Royals
White Sox
Twins

AL West:
Las Vegas/Portland Marlins
Athletics
Angels
Mariners
Rangers

NL East:
Pirates/Reds
Mets
Phillies
Braves
Nationals

NL Central:
Cubs
Cardinals
Pirates/Reds
Astros
Brewers

NL West:
Giants
Dodgers
Padres
Rockies
Diamondbacks

This would give every division 5 teams.

And this is why. If each division had 5 teams that would require 7.5 games per night per league. There would have to be one team in each league with a day off per day. Either that or at least one interleague series going at all times. I know Bud Selig has done some ridiculus things in his lifetime, but he wont do that. Plus, we don't have to worry about this until 2010 when the Marlins lease runs up.

The Marlins are going to be in Florida till atleast 2010 or 2012, can't remember exactly which date it is, but it's one of them, in which their current stadium lease expires.

And with the UM Hurricanes opting to move to Dolphin Stadium, the funding that would've gone to renovate UM's old stadium, will more than likely now be available for the Marlins stadium hopes, which wasn't the case before. So if in fact the $$ is diverted to the Marlins, they aren't going anywhere.....

I hope.

Each division will not get 5 teams unless MLB does away with the novelty of interleague games.
