Honestly this story has played out already for the Phillies, remember the whole Myers saga? Its sort of similar and Ill be damned if im writing off the Phils just yet...

i ca'nt take the phils/braves seriously...

but maine is showing a lot of fatigue lately. so it's not like they're the only team with a pitching issue.

I think Maine can DEFINTELY get some rest in September. It's painfully obvious he needs it.

Since I think we'll probably run away with this thing by mid-Sept, we can let Maine skip a start or two. And let Pelfrey/Vargas/Humber get a spot start here and there. With extended rosters, it'll defintely help out Johnny.

I think next year is the year we can really expect a #2-like pitcher for the ENTIRE season.
