bnot too bad, we seem to be the only team the phils can handle. they'll lose their next series. mets will win the division.

The Phillies only play the Mets well? Since April 20th they're 66-51. Not counting Mets games that's 59-47. I think that over-generalization *might* be a little off.

After mediocre Jamie Moyer, they have no pitching to speak of.

Cole Hamels comes back September 2nd. Kyle Kendrick has a 3.89 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP as a rookie. Lohse's 4.47 ERA and 1.33 WHIP (3.95 and 1.28 with the Phils) are actually quite respectable for a #5. JD Durbins 4.07 ERA with the Phils in his rookie year isn't too shabby either.

Pitching isn't great, but to say that Moyer's the only decent starter, while discounting Hamels and Kendrick is just, um....wrong.

Actually, I made the statement without counting Hamels. Obviously, he's one of the best young talented starters in the baseball but he's hurt - again. Will he come back fully recoverd? He does have a history of breaking down late in the season. Also Kendrick is an unproven rookie. To say that you have complete confidence in him...

Cole doesn't have a history of breaking down late in the season. The only injury he's had prior to this since high school was when he broke his hand in a fight before spring training....

Not accurate...

Per Rotoworld

- Showed up out-of-shape to instructional league after holding out in '03
- Pulled shoulder muscle, non-pitching arm in '03
- Missed most of '04 after pulling a triceps muscle, non-pitching arm. Tried to pitch through the pain and made it worse.
- Missed second half of '05 season with stress fracture in his back
