I like Lo Duca and I think he'll be missed. Mets haven't offered him a contract and I'm not sure he'll be back, but as a fan, I'll miss him - not just because of yesterday. overall, he's good clutch player.

I know he's 35 - old for a catcher, but I kind of want him back next year.

Of course. Platoon him more with Castro. No way you let that guy goes. He has fire and is great with the pitchers.

I would bring him back too, but what I'm hearing is that they won't.

Yeah, we should bring him back and platoon him. BUT we definitely need to start grooming, or looking for, a replacement in the not too distant future.

and who're we gonna have at catcher? castro? he'll be a black hole in the lineup if he plays the entire season and he'll throw out .000000001% of would-be base stealers. ugh.

if loduca doesn't ask for much, re-sign him.

I heard somebody say that the mets might sign Pudge - who's a year older than Lo Duc - but Pudge wouldn't be bad. I like Lo Duca though, he's given us 2 good years.
