7 ip, 4 hits and 8k in a Zephrys, AAA [Hitters league] playoff game.
as we know mulvey was drafted in 2006 in the 2nd round by the mets, this is his first year in the minors and he already was moved up to aaa after AA season ended and he's only 22.
dont be surprised if he makes the ball club out of spring training next year, i dont expect it but dont be shocked.

he can very well help us next year. assuming pelfrey gets the #5 spot in the rotation. humber/mulvey will be competing for spot starts when el duque/pedro are injuried/resting.

You guys think Vargas has a shot next year? I don't follow minors too much, but I thought he had some potential as a future starter when we acquired him.

No, but I expect Dave Williams to make the bullpen in long relief next year.

I liked Dave Williams last year. He pitched OK for us, even during a championship game.
But, I wouldn't object to a return of Sosa to the pen either. Sosa's been pretty solid. Smith should return. Pen might be competitive next season.
