and I'm going to start this with a poll. Who likes Brian Lawrence starting, rather than Pelf (who I think has earned it) or maybe Humber.

GO METS!!!
a win would be nice.

My guess is Pelf is being saved for some reason. No clue why Humber does not get a shot to start. If the kid has a future with the team, why not let him pitch against the Nationals. Guess Willie was right though, since Lawrence is pitching pretty good. Beltran with his 30 homer and 101 RBI helps too. He might have a shot at 30-30 also if he starts running more.

So glad Willie cares about winning. First Lawrence, now Sele.

At this point I don't even want them to make the playoffs.

shut the hell up.
The mets are sickening right now.
Jose Reyes looking like Jo Jo Reyes.
This relief staff is a mess.
William has no idea what he is doing.
The defense is terrible.
6.5 game lead, NOW a 2.5 game lead. This could be a collapse of monumental proportions.
Everyone talking playoffs and the magic number has been 11 going on a week.

Willie has to grow a pair and start breaking **** in the clubhouse. Scream or something. This laidback crap is getting on my nerves.

I wouldn't go that far. Around the 2 losing streaks, this team has been pretty hot. 2 1/2 game lead, but still well in the wild card hunt. next year, these loosing streeks won't even be a footnote (as long as we make playoffs that is).
anyway, on Lawrence, he's pitched pretty OK, so I don't think it was a terrible choice by Willie, but I think Pelf has pitched better his last 2 starts. Pelf is a likely starter for us in the future. I didn't agree with giving Lawrence the go, but I also don't mind Lawrence. He's pitched OK (until tonight).

Gah, we are spitting the bit, big time. We better get our act together. It will be devastating if we continue collapsing...

He can't be saving Pelf or Humber, since he does not want to use them out the pen in the playoffs. I don't think we have the time to be saving arms for the playoffs, if we are not even a lock to make it anymore.

no, you shut the hell up. you're a **** fairweather fan. yawn. go call for willie's head on metsblog with the rest of the shortbus kids.
I'm a fairweather fan?
ahahah, you Willie supporters really crack me up. Oh yes, starting Brian Lawrence(who by the way we are 1-5 in games he starts) is better then starting Philip Humber or John Maine(ON REGULAR REST).

Cool it, you two. You can express your feelings on the matter without cursing or insulting each other. Thanks for your cooperation.
