162 Game season all down the drain in two weeks. Its amazing how far we came from the opening month till now. We see the rise and fall of our bullpen, we seen our pitching dominate to not be able to last two innings. This is going to be a dark offseason for the fans, players and front office of the team.

idk guys i wouldnt sweat it to the point where you cant sleep like i was before.. look at it this way we are loaded with young talent both in the majors and some studs in the minors.. ofcourse these yankee fans are gonna come in and troll, but the fact is our future is much brighter than theres.. the way this team was playing i dont see a world series even if we made it, our bullpen couldnt handle pressure, our closer couldnt, some of our starters couldnt and our bats couldnt, next year is a new year f*ck the haters, the anti-met sigs, let the phillie and yankee fans have their shortlived joy, they aint going anywhere either..

Got to get rid of the following players:
Mota, Glavine, Delgado, Reyes.
Then pick up 2 stud pitchers, sell the farm for them.

So....uhmmmm....when do you guys wanna start that thread up again????
Anyways, anybody that heard Mad Dog today needs to come with the EXACT mindset if you want to get back to where you guys SHOULD be. Tom Glavine should make sure he forgets NOTHING near Shea because the next time you should be there is as a visiting player....THATS IT. Choke artist the last couple games, and nothing compares to the first inning. But I'm not gonna get on you guys just yet, my team has a long ways to go since were are playing this week....unlike some other New York baseball teams....ahahah....
Anyways real question. Mad Dog talked about it, and made sure he wasn't serious about it today, but today, or even in the offseason, are Met fans willing to part ways with Jose Reyes for a Johan Santana.???? In all seriousness, I really want to see what you guys think of that kind of trade...especially after what happened the past couple at bats with Jose.

im not trading jose reyes for any1... i know you guys are loving it coming here talking sh*t.. but the fact is you didnt win the world series yet, and making the playoffs historically means nothing.. good luck in the post season but till youve won the sh*t talking doesnt mean anything

I must be classless.. because I was here yesterday to wish the Mets good luck and said best of luck next season when I came back today.
But sure, you're right. I am "classless"

Their going to the post-season, and once you're in the post-season ANYTHING can happen.
We saw it with the FL Marlins twice, the D-Backs, the Angels, the Red Sox, the Cardinals just last season. Both teams, the Phillies and the Yankees are coming into the post-season riding a high, and those are the teams that usually fare successfully in the MLB post-season.

I know you're upset but come on man relax, there are more important things in life than sports. A lot of us go to different team's forums to get another point of view on things and frankly, I think you're driving people away.

I'm just real happy because I had to listen & read about how the Mets were so great & that the Yankees wont make the playoffs & everyone will be fired & Reyes is going to win the MVP (then it became Wright, which is a possibility, slim though)
CROW FOR EVERYONE!
I just have to gloat for a couple days.

i need to relax?? im perfectly fine.. i posted a positive post for met fans, before it was hijacked by 9 yankee fans and a philly fan.. like i said good luck in the post season, im looking forward to next season.. all i said was dont stress it met fans our team is loaded with young talent, then i got reponses like you wouldnt trade reyes for santana??? no i wouldnt - not a chance in hell, it alot easier to say as a yankee fan you would because hes not your home grown player, your not loyal to him.. thats like prior to the yanks gettin arod, me saying you wouldnt trade jeter for arod??? ofcourse arod (before we found out his post season choking) was clearly the better player offensively and defensively, but hes derek jeter, your loyal to him, ofcourse you want do it, so dont judge me when i say i wont trade reyes for santana.. like i said my original post was to met fans, and was posted on the met forum, if you dont liek it, dont read or post here, especially if your avatar, and sig are anti mets, i could careless that you have it, good for you met fans did the same early in the year, but this is the met forum and im talkin to met fans, i dont care what you guys think..

Well I'm not trying to open up a can of worms for the whole Derek Jeter Jose Reyes thing, but Derek was on a different level pretty much since day one. Not really counting '95, Derek has been winning, winning in the regular season, PERFORMING in the regular season, winning in the post season, PERFORMING in the post season. Derek has been a winner since day one, and Jose not so much, thats why the discussion of Derek VS. AROD and Reyes VS. Santana isn't the same. There wasn't a GLARING weakness on the teams Derek was on, thus we were crowned champs year in and year out in the late 90s. We haven't won of late, but at this point, Derek is the leader here, he's number very well can be retired tomorrow with no problem. He has won, Reyes hasn't....get it???
Like I said, I just wanted to see what you guys think about a trade like that. I personally would put money on it Johan wins 20 games in the NL EASILY, but its a conversation that just has to do really with the team moving forward, not DAMN, the Mets had 17 games let with a 7 game lead on the Phillies, collapsed, played the Marlins and were beating 2 out of 3, eliminating them from playoff contention when in actuallity with a win today, they would have an oppurtunity for TWO playoff spots but were buried from the first inning due to Tom Glavine having literally his WORST outing of his career.
Its not about that, its about Reyes for Santana. (I just had to add that little ending to that last paragraph!!!

) Sucks to be a Met fan but hey, we were as Yankee fans dealt with it not to long ago and look at us now...
