I think we got KILLED here...
We can't get another prospect in return for Milledge? this goes to show how far his stock fell..
We shouldve kept him in the minors and masked his deficiencies...

What deficiencies?
The kid can flat out hit and he was great up here. People just questioned his character and if it would prevent him from becoming a star player. We should of gotten at least a reliever too.

for Brian Schneider and Ryan Church?
Those guys arent bad players but we had bigger needs. We needed pitching otherwise keep the kid and see what he can do.

Wow, Milledge's stock really has sunk...
Where's the pitching back in return?

what pitching? nah, we odnt need pitching...
This sets means a few things for us:
A) Teams don't want Milledge, but are much more interested in Carlos Gomez and Fmart.
B) for any pitcher we do trade for, we will have to give up one of the two
C) Humber/Pelf/Heilman would definitely be included in any trade for a pitcher

Oh.
If this is the value Milledge has, I fear the value that our outfield prospects have...

Weird move. I actually thought Milledge started 'growing up' last season. Oh well. We've still got several months to go in the offseason, but Omar's moves have so far been... lacking.

I'm listening to m +md right now and they are saying:
Omar is not dumb. He mustve called the Os, As and everyone else that have rumored in moving frontline pitching that they don't want Milledge in any package for a starting pitcher.

I don't get this trade, we just got a catcher on Estrada, we had a good OF on Milledge, we just sent him to get a catcher and an OF? I don't know, maybe his attitude was what caused this trade but I don't like it. Schneider is good as a defensive catcher but can't hit, Church is a good hitter, I don't know about the glove (have never seen him).
WE NEED A #1 SP!!!!

Church is apparently a converted pitcher. Has a good arm in the OF. Not sure how fast he is though / how much ground he covers.
The Catcher is a good defensive catcher / good pitchers catcher, but I don't know what NY plans on doing with 3 catchers.
On a side note - we got 2 players who were starters last year, for a guy who's never had 200 ABs in a season. How often do you see that happen?

as a guy who works at CSN in DC, let me tell you, Church is a complete ****, the ego on this guy is insane. He doesn't handle us (DC media) well so lets see how he does with the NY media.
On any other team he would have been a 5th outfielder but because it was the Nats, he started.
Have fun.
