Honestly I think one of the biggest things for this team would be a healthy Delgado this year. If he can provide us with a 270/25/90 season that would do wonders. Add in a half of a season in Alou, he was phenomenal last year. Its really World Series or EXTREME BUST.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
C- Maluach l Jackson l Hayes
PF- Okongwu l Newell l Salaun
SF- Wiggins l Bryant l McNeeley
SG- Thomas l Wallace l Nembhard
PG- Murray l Collier l Dillingham

Defense will be much better as well with Shcneider, Church and Castillo for a full season. With Church, Beltran can now shade more to the left and help Alou because Church is very good defensively.
BAF Suns

Chris Paul / Patrick Beverley / Shamorie Ponds
Buddy Hield / Timothy Luwawu / Stanley Johnson
Kendrick Nunn / Matisse Thybulle / Darius Miller
RJ Barrett / Kyle Kuzma / Dwayne Bacon
DeAndre Jordan / Kenrich Williams / DJ Wilson

Dude, he had 15 homers and 40 doubles in that joke of a ballpark. His SLG and OPS on the road are 10x's better than his numbers at home.

I say he'll hit 20-25 homers with 70-80 rbi's.

Last report on him that was a few weeks ago, he's throwing 94 mph and will be ready when pitchers and catchers report.

we certainly could use another corner outfielder... chavez is good in spurts, so if someone goes down we'll have a pretty big hole... how good is pagan?

I found this on Pagan and it seems to coinside with what I've read about him. Good defender. Still learning as a hitter.

http://mets.scout.com/2/219978.html

but I have to wonder, if Pagan was good, why did we sell him to Chicago. it couldn't be that he was out of options, (could it?)- he'd never been called up.

Maybe it was cause there were too many guys ahead of him - Milledge and Gomez, so NY sold him to Chicago, then reacquired him.

I'm not sold on Chavez as an every day guy. I have some confidence in Church, so, I hope Pagan works out as we may need him.
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

Pagan is Young enough to still develop a little more. He and F-Mart could be our corner guys next year, w/ Beltran in the Middle.

I think if he does well in the minors this upcoming year there is a REAL chance he could replace Alou... that would be so scary if he is the real deal.

I think Delgado is going to have a monster year, I bet we see his career average numbers not like last year.

here would be my 25 man roster

C Schneider
1B Delgado
2B Castillo
SS Reyes
3B Wright
LF Alou
CF Beltran
RF Church (8)

Bench
Castro, Endy, Easley, Gotay, Marlon (5)

Starters
Santana, Pedro, Perez, Maine, Pelfrey (5)

Bullpen Heilman, Feliciano, El Duque, Wise, Schoenweis, Duaner Sanchez,
Wagner (8)

Misc:
Its going to be really hard for joe smith to make the 25 man.
Sosa may be the odd man out from last year in our pen... for good... (dfa?)

our outfield is injury prone, and Endy himself is injury prone..
I love our bullpen with duaner, hopefully he is 100%
Matt wise HAS to be better than Mota

metsblog is saying we're looking at lofton...offensively he's superior to endy and defensively they're pretty close so i'd take lofton in a heartbeat.
