he might not hit like lo duca or piazza but hes a hell of a defensive catcher and i think it was a good pull for omar...lastings who?

Defense up the middle, one of the most underrated things in baseball. As far as picking up the hitch while it does seem good, I hope he dont clash with pitchers tendencies throughout the season. Though I cant see that being a problem...

Like Jerry Grote. Imagine Keith Hernandez behind the plate. That was Jerry Grote. He was cat back there and ate up any bunt attempts. In addition, he managed that great pitching staff back then.
I'm very happy to have Brian Schneider here. I just hope he hits around .250 and is not an automatic out.
