**** it. Wasting my time and stressing over this pile of **** that we call the Mets is not worth it.
Fire Omar
Fire Willie
Trade everyone except for Reyes, Wright, Santana, Church, Maine for prospects.
We still have a solid core with those guys, we just need the right GM who knows how to build a team. Not some racist **** who is only concerned with turning us into the Los Mets.

i completely agree, except i would say trade church and put Pelf, Smith, Castro + Sanchez on the list of keepers.
Good to know Delgado steps up n we loose. Castillo =Day-Day. Beltran: We need more out of that contract you got. Casanova and Nunez??? oh yeah building up los mets. FIRE MINAYA. We keep getting older and more hispanic as the year goes on for los Mets. (nothing against hispanic players jus Minaya).
Carp just put together a 6 rbi night(GS + 2r shot). Evans did decent with us. Murph could take a corner OF spot. Can't wait for F-mart to get healthy(he could be a sprk plug)
We need to start building a young team around the core we have. Citi Field, i hope will be a new beginning for us.

well you can't get rid of everyone, like for an example
Joe Smith
Mike Pelfrey
Pedro Felliciano
Duaner Sanchez
those 4 combined aren't even making the 7 mill LOLiver Perez is making
and you can't say Church should part of the future because there's a chance his career could be over with the post concussion syndrome.

Funny how the Mets always fail in at least one department. On one game, it's the batting. On another game, it's the fielding. Then, it's the starting pitcher, who gives up like 4 runs in the 1st inning. Then, it's the relievers. Then, the closer.
This team has absolutely no chemistry.

Agreed. If it's not one thing, it's another. I think more of the blame goes on Willie, but Omar is culpable too. Some of the players get lots of blame too. BUT, I can't help but follow this team...

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love this team. And as much as I love Willie, I think he needs to go. We need a head coach who can impose discipline and the sense of urgency into these players.

how is willie allowed to continue managing this team? how does Omar still have a job?
both have utterly failed in every way this year and they are acting as if its all good
the sad part is we got the largest payroll in the NL
the Wilpon's must be real happy they'll have a bottom dwelling team moving into Citifield

Because we have the Baseball version of Dolan as our owner. We also have the worst medical staff in baseball. How the **** do you wait until now to DL Church? We need to do something and I think we should really tear the team down and try to build around our core of Reyes, Wright, Beltran, Santana, Maine, Joe Smith, and maybe Pelfrey. We need to get younger, because I'm tired of this old ass team getting injured every five minutes.

I'm not quite ready to jump ship just yet.
Santana's been solid. Maine's been OK. Pedro, Ollie, Pelfrey and the combo we've used at teh #5 spot have not. That's 2 good pitchers, 3 bad ones.
The offense has been off. Beltran's a poor cleanup hitter, no iffs ands or buts. Delgado's been - you know. Alou's been absent. Wright's been OK. The bench hasn't been hitting.
and the Pen's been average. Nothing's working out, but the team still has some talent, so I'm not ready to say trade the farm. (besides, what are we gonna get for these guys? - not that much right now.

Those recent perfances were just absolutely hideous. I mean everything is falling apart for the Mets and that pretty quickly.
Counting on Alou to be your everyday left fielder was just idiotic. Expecting Delgado to still be a big run producer, just the same thing. Church has been awesome but boy did they mess up that situation last week.
You just can't win with Endy freaking Chavez and Fernando Tatis being your corner outfielders. Wright, Reyes and Beltran are all talented but leadership, heart, dominance?! Yeah right...
The pitching staff outside of Santana is a mess. Perez and Maine are middle of the road pitchers. Yeah yeah 15 game winners my azz... the bullpen is also terrible. How about loudmouth Wagner failing at the most ctritical time?!? Surprising...
The Mets have become utterly similar to the Yankees, a completely disfunctional team without any kind of fitting pieces, a gigantic payroll and a clueless management. The interesting thing is that this huge payroll in both cases only resulted in a completely messed up roster, in the Mets case there is no real power threat, no true lineup presence, no bench, no middle relief and no depth at all.

if anyone is the leader on this team its wright and i dont see how people can debate otherwise

Hopefully Wright is not leading be example, because somebody stole his body and we are watching an impostor at 3rd. I think Pedro should be the leader of the team. He probably is the guy that could get everybody to listen.

Wright needs a few days off. He's the only ML'er who's played every single inning of every single game this season. He looks exhausted out there.

With our only offense besides Wright being Reyes and Beltran, it's hard to rest Wright, but Willie need to find a way to rest our stars. Hopefully Wright gets to DH when we play the Angels.

Tatis playing 3rd while Wright plays DH would be alright
