Ugh, some runs, please?!

WTF, Santana has to win games now 1-0?!

Get your arse in gear, offense! :curse:

Ugh, what a way to lose. We better get our ass in gear. This team is supposed to contend...

Yikes, we suck. Was my prediction for 91 wins before the season WAY optimistic? We need starting pitching help...

Whew, we needed that win so bad! But that was still way too hard. We need Big Pelf and Ollie to pull through...

So other than Niese, what are the pitching alternatives for Manuel?

It's time for long relief for Ollie. See what Niese can do. We need 2 of 3 from the Fish.

Good pitching night from Maine. All we ask is 6 innings from any of these starters not named Santana. :D

Woot! Omir 'Grand Salami' Santos! Kudos to Omar for finding him. Keep him around 'til his bat cools off. I'm feeling better about Pelf and Maine. Ollie still sucks against teams not named Philly, but oh well.

Why would you even joke like that when it's JJ pitching?

The bullpen lost it for you but you should have known the winner was going do it by 1-run when you have Johan and JJ. Too slim a margin to call the game.

I think Santana needs to take steroids, I really do. So maybe he can give himself some run support when he pitches. This offense is truly amazing, ultimate paper team thus far. I have to think that the Wilpons regret not going after Manny after this start.

Not just Manny..

If my team had money I would be mad they let LA get Hudson AND Manny for about 25 million combined!

An average of 12 million a player for possibly the best 2hitter-3hitter combo in the league.

Speaking of LA... I was also surprised the Mets passed up on their past ace in Lowe. Dude's been a guaranteed 3.5 era guy ever since he's been in the NL... a poor man's ace.. but a badass number 2 guy. Passing him up for a number 4 guy? Weird.

Reyes
Hudson
Manny
Beltran
Wright
Delgado
Murphy

Santana
Lowe
Maine
Pelfrey

Not that I'd want to face that team but that was what I thought was going to happen back in Jan/Feb. Very surprised they stuck with the same team as last year's.

Good win, let's keep it up.

On Lowe, Omar didn't want to add a 4th year. Eff that, we overpaid Ollie anyway, over 3 years. Lowe would have been worth it.

Whew, we almost spit the bit on that one! It's those little things that just keep adding up. Championship teams don't make errors like Delgado and Castillo made tonight... on routine plays! Some of these guys just aren't playing and concentrating hard enough. Whatever, we won. In a place we normally lose, so I'll gladly take it.

We need to win this next series against the Phils. And please, can we have some run support for Santana?!
