Could you see a move to CF for him?

I don't think it is completely crazy to think that Jeter could play CF. All SS's eventually move and Jeter is getting worse defensively every year. He is obviously not going to 3B like most older SS's do, and he obviously can catch a fly ball/pop up and has a plus arm for CF.

Also playing CF for the Yankees is one of the special positions in all of sports. He might take it as an honor to follow Joe D./Mickey/Bernie/etc. If we brought in a defensive SS it may make some sense.

It has been done before, Robin Yount had a very good career at SS before becoming an excellant CFer.

I don't think it will happen, but it's not crazy.

SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker

I think Jeter still has 3 seasons left at SS, for better or for worse.

How many seasons he has "left" at short is a subjective concept. Seeing as how he's already one of if not the worst defensive shortstops in the league, ideally he should have switched positions already.
