so rivera has to be used cuz the damn pen cant protect a big lead

what a disgrace

there is no reason MO shouldve even touched a baseball tonight with a 7 run lead and 4 straight games against angels coming up

It is a disgrace pharmcat. He isn't loose and he gave up a homer to granderson... our pen leading up to rivera sucks.. 8-1 game ends up 8-6.. what a joke..

Props to swisher.. he is playing great..... and Joba was dealing tonight.... both he and hughes looked great....

Our pen needs to be shot!!

So **** embarassing that we had to bring in Mo because albadeljo couldnt protect a FIVE RUN Lead. Jesus.

If our Bullpen doesnt improve we may need Joba back in the Pen

A wins a win i guess.

Mo was barely touching 90, lucky he can command

Just because ESPN is mentally defective enough to still be having this debate doesn't mean we have to.

I just miss the Yankees having the most dominant 1-2 punch of Joba in the 8th To Mo in the 9th

man just imagine if Hughes and Kennedy live up to there potential

C.C
AJ
Wang (Assuming he gets back to normal)
Pettite
Joba
Hughes
Kennedy
Melancon
Mariano

Thats some beast pitching right there

Regardless of who is setting up Mariano, you wouldn't bring him into such a game. It was what 8-1? Albaladejo, Robertson, Veras or Marte were the right guys to bring in to mop up the 9th. Oh well, it is what it is. Joba pitched great even though his velocity still needs to improve. He hit 95-96 a couple of times and his slider was in the upper 80's as well. Those are good signs. Hopefully is next outing he is back to his normal self. He probably just needed to build up arm strength after his shoulder issue last year. He has to be commended for pitching as well as he has with diminished arm strength. -Jitpal
