I agree, I'm betting they didn't get Joba to throw that simulated inning before the game because of the rain. AJ has a lot to prove tonight. He has not pitched well since that game against Boston. We need a big time performance from him. Right now it seems like only CC and Phil are pitching well with Andy gutting through.

Not to mention we can't catch a break with injuries. We finally have a CF playing and we potentially getting Posada back but now no Melky. I hope he isn't out a long time because Gardner does not look good out there every day. -Jitpal

i think with the rain delay

you should start the game with a reliever, let the SP warm up for 1-2 innings in the pen, and then bring them in...joba had NOTHING

At least Texeira didn't ground into a DP there. We're up 6-0. Getting some run support for Burnett here and doing what we should've done yesterday and score on our huge amount of hits.

Boy does it!!!

wang looked great..

Burnett was effective enough... No runs through 6 innings of work..

Matsui found his HR stroke

TEX is beasting

Jeter was good

Now do we keep huges in rotation, bring in wang and put joba in the pen where we need him badly...

Boston loses, we are now tied for 1st...

The A-rod impact is definately in effect....

Why, Wang looked like a young Joba Chamberlain in relief tonight.

7th: Wang
8th: Joba
9th: Mo
5th starter: Brett Tomko

Who cares about who throws every 5th day, with that pen the Yanks will win 130, amirite?

Burnett looks better too, and he throws 94 as a starter so maybe he can reach 97+ as a reliever?

6th: Burnett
7th: Wang
8th: Joba

Deadly bullpen

Can you imagine Sabathia as a LOOGY :o :o :o :o .

Think of bringing in Sabathia when Ortiz comes off the bench for a plate appearance. DOMINANT! -Jitpal
