Would you take a 10M gamble on Webb?

I'm sure every one knows that Brandon Webb will be undergoing a season ending surgery. The D-Backs hold a 10M option on him. Would you trade for his rights? Quite a gamble but if the Yanks could swing a deal at a decent cost, can you imagine Webb along with Burnett and Sabbathia? That is filth personified.

The trade deadline has passed and there is no way that the Diamondbacks would ever trade Webb, arguably one of the best pitchers in the NL, when he is injured.

I would love to take a chance on him, but the D-backs would have to decline that option, which I do not think will happen. He's a steal at $10 mil if healthy..

As long as it doesn't interfere with us signing Felix Hernandez in a few years, that's all I care about right now.

A trade can always happen in the off-season. There's no doubt in my mind that Halladay will be moved in the off-season.
