Well he should be doing more of these things as talented as he is. He does most of his damage early in the count so if he gets deep into the count, then he's pretty much a wrap.

By the way, I like the Yankees. Just can't stand A-Rod.

then you dont understand baseball. all players do more poorly as the count goes up. 0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2... those all are pitcher's counts.

we put all that pressure on him because we expect him to do something everytime because "he's so good" what kind of stupid response is that. baseball is a game of averages, and arod does far more than "average" when he comes at bat. that makes him clutch no?

if anything, alex is more unlucky than unclutch.

look at his numbers with the bases loaded... demolishes pitchers... and there's a reason for that... pitcher's are forced to throw strikes or walk the batter. those listed counts are counts where the pitcher can afford to do something else... set up a breaking pitch, or a fastball... etc.

and smoke... those numbers indicate that this season, alex has been just as good as he has been this year, or better (clutch?) with RISP, 2 outs.... w/e

Man that game went on forever and i couldnt wait for it to end. Thats a game i wouldve loved to see live though, i could only imagine what it was like in that stadium when a-rod went yard. and then waiting for AJ Burnett to get the Pie in the face stuff going.

I had to leave my friends house at like 11:50pm and I missed this completely by the time I got back to my house. Fu--ing gay. This is why I hate baseball. 4 hours of absolute boredom for one 3 second moment that defines the game.

Yeah it was definitely a classis Game. Great pitching by both Teams. Burnett has REALLY stepped up his Game after his slow start. He's looking more and more like our Ace, and CC as our #2...but I don't really care as long as the Wins keep coming in and the distance between us and Boston grows.
