jeter was on base every postseason game, except 1... guy is as good as it gets..

Including all 6 games of the World Series, batting over .400. And you would think that would net you a World Series MVP...

exactly then I get the "oh well thats why they need a salary cap in baseball!!"...im like wait wait WHO needs a salary cap in baseball?? YOU need a salary cap in baseball, irrelevant teams like the Marlins who can't compete b/c of their weak fan base and cheap owner (makes Sterling look like Steinbrenner). the MLB doesn't because they make waaaayyyyy too much money off of teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, etc.

sports illustrated had this great article on salary cap and baseball and why it really won't work.. they made a point that the players would still have to get their 45% of all revenue. so now you would have a minimum cap anda max. so taking last years numbers, lets say the minimum would be around 45 mil and the max 103 mil.. well there were 14 teams that would have to pay roughly 15 mil just to get to the minimum. most of them could not afford to do that...

Well lets say the yankees, mets, dodgers and cubs all get new TV deals or open new stadiums and their revenue increases.. Well MLB revenue goes up, and so would the cap.. how are small market teams going to keep up with minimum cap rules if their revenue stays flat?

He arrived a year after we won a ring, and he left a year before we won a ring... He pitched well enough in Yankee pinstripes to win at least one World Series. But those are the breaks, I guess.

I would love for moose to get an honorary ring, he was nothing less than a stud from the first day he got here until he retired winning 20 games at age 39!
