It's ridiculous to think a 39 year old pitcher won't have hiccups but now, we see the importance of Philip Hughes. The REAL question is, can the Yankees fight off the Sox with AJ Burnett struggling badly, JAvier Vasquez a total wild card?

red sox will cool off.. Yanks need to do something about burnett... CC is on fire, Hughes is still pitching well, andy well, javy made a turnaround... burnett is killing us.. it is hard to go on long winning streaks when he is spotting teams 5 runs during his starts...

we should have won this series..

its the torre factor, he certainly took a toll on some of the players

only Arod seems to have wanted to win this series

typical yankee loss... A-rod really misplays that ground ball by backing up, the runner is safe.. then posada can't throw him out stealing, even on a pitch out... furcal closes his eyes and swings and gets a double.. run #6... yanks score a run in the 9th and have what would have been the tying run at the plate.. had they held the dodgers in the 8th..

what a joke...

These are some great AB's in this 9th inning, clutch hits and good baserunning.

I told you not to ring up the "L" just yet! To quote Kevin Costner in the Untouchables, "Never stop. Never stop till the fighting is done! Here endth the lesson!"

Ah torre, just like old times eh? Late meltdown? Familiar?

great comeback win!!

First of all, we gave the dodgers 3 gift runs early..

A-rod was tuned in this series for sure..

Great at bats by the kids in the 9th.. huffman and curtis especially..

The dodgers whined about strikes.. LOL.. they act as if they have never seen rivera's cutter.. LOL.. K zone showed that all of those called strikes were right on.... the dodgers were trying to steal walks.... hahaha

Rivera's cutter was filthy... almost unfair..

Cano 0-11 vs shirley hits a two run homer to go ahead.. he is a beast..

Broxton with a 50 pitch inning.. one thing about guys like that who throw hard and have not much else.. get them tired and they are so hittable..

Great comeback win....

Love seeing dodger fans go home with their tails between their legs..

I was frustrated.. It sure looked like a loss.. but torre rode broxton too long.. after a while you could see he didn't have it, or had thrown too many pitches.. I mean didn't he pitch yesterday?

Hahaha....yea, I second that. Torre mishandled the pen? Never!

That would be funny of Torre motioned for Mo and said, ooh damn.
