The axe is looming over Guidry. Has to be.

I was watching the Yankee game last night and as Colter Bean was having his meltdown, the camera kept panning too Guidry sitting in the dugout and, it seemed he was more interested in stuffing sunflower seeds into his mouth rather than paying attention to the "action" on the field.

Colter Bean is 30 years old and has no business being on a AAA ballclub let alone a major league team. I do think that Guidry deserves some of the blame. Every pitcher that is brought up here seems to struggle other than Phil Hughes. The guys who are doing well from our AA/AAA have been up and down a few times. Joe also should get some blame because he doesn't spread things around the bullpen and keeps giving the ball to Vizcaino and Procter on a nightly basis. He doesn't give the ball to Mariano enough in the early part of the year and puts guys like Farnsworth and Myers in roles that they should not be in. Plenty of blame to go around. You can even put Cashman into the blame bucket because he overestimated our bullpen and he put a lot of confidence in Pettitte and Moose to be able to stand the rigors of 30-35 starts. Plus, he actually thought Pavano would be a valuable and healthy member of the rotation. He misjudged or maybe even made a knee-jerk move to get Igawa. Plenty of blame to go around but I think one of the first two moves Steinbrenner would make if it comes to it, would be either to fire Guidry and/or not let Cashman have total control. -Jitpal

There is alot of blame to go around but once we get our starting rotation back we will be much better than we r now.

Hope you guys all realize now that if Torre was fired, Clemens would probably not be wearing a Yankee uniform. Also, as the pitching gets healthier start to notice how the bullpen will be used less and less. Just a couple things to keep in mind

Anyone else hear Dougie Fresh praise Joe for showing more confidence in him than any manager ever has?
