Yanks vs Jays

Post#1 » by TKF » Tue Aug 3, 2010 2:46 am

A series we need to win. we drop the first game tonight. Burnett was horrible as usual. 7 run inning? are you kidding me?

we have to get better pitching or drop him in the rotation.

Rays win, so now we are tied for first. Lets hope minny can acutually come to play and win the series from the rays, and lets hope the yanks can pitch and win this series at home... not really liking this little stretch of play we are having..

It makes no sense to trade Montero for a 1/2 season rental (even though they'd probably resign him anyway). It's much smarter to keep Montero and go after Lee in the offseason since Texas doesn't have the money to sign him.

AJ should only pitch every other month.

with arod looking like a stiff, jeter declining, this might be the last year to make a good run with these older guys, in a year that BOS seems to be just coasting and waiting for the contracts to expire and reload in the offseason

Lee and a chance at WS, which would be very good, this year, is worth whatever the cost was

Everyone thought Jeter was declining before until last year; he's currently having his career worst season but we can't say it's definitely caused by age.

This team is turning into a mess and with both Tampa and Boston picking up their games, things can get ugly quickly.

two hits vs a bum pitcher in romero.. this team has issues.. rays about to win, so now we are a game out of first with boston just 5.5 behind us now.... no pitching, no hitting and declining star players.. a very bad mix....

Romero is not a bum pitcher. He's very good young up and coming #3 pitcher but the Yanks anemic offense made him look like a Cy Young winner.
