Thanks to the impeding divorce of the Dodger's owner, it looks like the team is unloading some of the excess baggage like Manny Ramirez. Fortunately, the Yanks have also been able to help themselves by being awarded the rights to Ted Lilly. Now, Lilly was bombed in his last start after Five consecutive wins. What this does is allow the Yanks to have some insurance especially as they try to rest Philip Hughes or a CC Sabbathia before the playoffs. Also Ted can fill in AJ Burnett's slot or Dustin "Sugar Shane" Mosley.
Meanwhile, odd that the Yanks haven't promoted Jesus Montero right? He would be great to call up to add some pop when the Yanks are giving someone the day off. I wonder if it has more to do with the fact that the Yanks expect to be healthy finally when A-Rod is off the DL.
Very injury riddled season for the Yanks...but get healthy for the playoffs is the key!

Dodgers still have to decide on what they are going to do with Lilly, so far they are refusing due to them being in the wild card hunt. Yankees have another day or two wait. If the Dodgers keep on losing to the Fillies, they might be willing to deal.

I'd gladly welcome Ted Lilly back. I hated when we traded him for that bum Jeff Weaver

Dodgers are Eight games behind Philly...they ain't catching them not with that offense in the pitching savy NL West. Yea, Ted's a bulldog. Still not a sure thing for Ted to want to return. Rumor is, he loves LA.
