This is an older team that is out of gas right now...

I think I have more faith in the Knicks making it not only to the playoffs, but out of the first round, than I do in the Yankees doing anything more than get swept as the wild card.

Every area of this team is pathetic right now.

I love how Jeter and Mariano decided to hit the wall at the same time. How thoughtful of them.

Well, even with the old guard looking like corpses, at least we are going to the playoffs, and the Red Sox are not. Yay, I guess.

LOL this team will be one and done in the POs

Miranda with walkoff walk...LOL so anti climatic

btw, are there really no bats in the yankee minors than miranda, thames, etc? seems like the FO needs to work on bats in the system now that the pitching is there

I'll start with that.

He's batting something like .322 in the last 14 games, at least if your going to continually complain over every little thing make sure it's warranted. All you do is complain over everything.

He seems to hate the old guard for some reason.

yea because he was too young to remember any of the WS they brought from 96-01. Stop crying about Jeter, ever since he had the day off in Texas to work on his swing with K-Long, he has been hitting over .320.

Stop with all this the yanks are one and done in the playoff crap as well. If you haven't paid a lick of attention, the Yankees have been managing the past 2 weeks like its been april in order to get everyone healthy for the stretch run.

Some of you, definitely not Christopher cry baby, should remember in '00 when they literally collapsed at the end of the regular season, losing what, 7 straight?, only to win the WS. But hey, lets cry about going into Oct with a losing rec in Sep. History shows that momentum going into the playoffs means ABSOLUTELY nothing. Remember when Det played Stl in the WS? Do you know there records in September?

Some of you guys make being a real yankee fan disgraceful, you know who you are.

They ended the '00 season 3 and 15 including a 7 game losing streak to enter the playoffs. Joe Morgan (I think) pointed that out last night on ESPN. But hey, people on this forum said the same exact thing last year, so I guess we'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.

And Papelbon is cries as much about umpires as Christopher does about Jeter :D . He wasn't the only pitcher to get squeezed last night, Matsuzaka Hughes and Mo were as well.

Papelbon is proof character flaws eventually bubble to surface...
