yea, I remember 10 years ago, he would be in the high 90's pitching into the 9th inning.. 10 years later he can still get the ball up there at 93 with movement... wow....for a guy who was never that much in shape.. amazing..

I think there's a reason why Colon ain't still playing for the Red Sox. Right now, he's throwing gas cause he's fighting for a pay check but by July, I can see this guy getting lit up bad.

Hopefully this is when Philip Hughes gets his velocity back...but it was interesting, after the Yankees won the WS, Buck Showalter then an analyst didn't see Hughes nor Joba as starters. Buck's a smart man despite the recent mind games.

For now, the Yanks just need to keep a winning pace. Don't have to go on a tear or sweep teams. they just have to stay ahead.

Or he gets hurt which is more often the case. Hasn't started more than 18 games since 2005 when he won 20 games.
