I like the idea of a 6 man rotation throughout september. (counting chickens) I don't see the wildcard race being to tight, and BOS isn't likely to run away with the division, so let's just keep rolling along business as usual, get A-rod back, king philip continues to assimilate, and hope something nice emerges from the trade deadline. As has been said quite a bit around here, PLEASE can we get a little Montero action to spark this offense a bit, is it really too much to hope for.

Applause again for Freddy last night, and although he always seems to come with some trouble/base runners, I admire those nights when he's able to stay cool and work around them (but I would be absolutely worried about him pitching in the playoffs)
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

i respect guys like freddy and moose

who dont have the speed, but beat you with location and guile

but in the POs, where its colder and harder to grip the ball, i dont see Freddy being a reliable option....but as a #5 to get you through the season, hes been great

Yea, a #5 in a rotation will be sent to the pen come post season. This is why the Yanks have the hardest decision to make in regards to who will be the 1-3. CC then AJ (who I'm not sure about) an then...there's who is going to save the Yanks come Game 3 not named Pettitte? Hughes is coming along but at this point we're not sure. Colon finally bounced back, can he last?

This is why the trading deadline might be fascinating...

this teams always seems to struggle with pitchers like shields. guys who throws 85% changeups and junk balls low and in the dirt... I was wondering when shields became the younger version of the current Freddy GArcia.. and I say current version because the young Garcia had a pretty good fast ball... seems like we are catching up with him in the 8th, hope we can tie the game.. that second run for the rays really hurt..

this team needs a big bat as much as another SP

b4 in the 2000s, the pitching was bad, but the hitting was always there with those stacked lineups
