Is Swish'n'Miss worth the 10.25M option?

This is a text book vintage way in which the Yankees keep their payroll at 200M.

To add more pop and a player that milks pitches like a cow in the morning, Cashman pulled the trigger on a deal that Chicago knew favored the Yanks but wanted to dump payroll. Nick's a great teammate but streaky and has an atrocious option. He's really worth 6-7 million and he won't take less cause like all athletes they believe they are entitled. That's fine, this is America you should name your price (whether or not you get it is another matter).

Problem is, no one wants the Yanks to get any better...the market isn't the best unless you want a fraud like Matt Holliday and the Yanks have no one in the minors who looks like young Bernie Williams.

I can handle Swisher's streaky nature (and his depressing playoff stats). I do not like his base running instincts. Going back to the World Series, I have seen him do some dumb decisions and this is the son of a ball player.

I hope we keep him but 10.25M is ridiculous.

yanks are forced to keep him

no other option available this year

he would be worth the 10 mill with the streakiness, if not for the fact he is a known PO choker

he'll be back
