I agree. No need to rush A-rod. Let him get his body right. Let him get all that gambling side show circus settled before he comes back to the team.

Missed the game, I gotta wonder what is being said between Cashman & Girardi. I think, in a seven game series you can start AJ...in a 5 game series, NO WAY right now. He just doesn't have the confidence in his stuff.

So I guess it's most likely CC, Nova, Hughes...with Colon in the mix somewhere?

Nova is cruising. I'm so glad they didn't give up him, one of the killer B's, and Montero for Jimenez. Jimenez had another terrible outing today: 83 pitches in 3.1 inning, 9 hits, 8 ER

Jimenez hasn't been good at all since he came to the AL.

I don't see Detfink whining about us not trading for him anymore...

Detroit is no slouch. The most consistent and smartest offensive team from May-Aug. Look at those averages. Consistency in manufacturing runs. Jimenez had them first time around, notice how the Tigers are prepared this time.

Go all the way back to when the Tigers adjusted and took care of the Yanks at the last series.

Only consolation with Cleveland NJ boy Porcello didn't last much longer than Jimenez (shorter outing than the last time Indians hammered them).

Telling ya, there are no Twins in the first round for the Yanks this year. #2 and #3 spots in the rotation are going to be VITAL.

Meanwhile Jeter is at .292... Aging like a fine wine.

Curtis Granderson might be the stand out trade under Cashman's regime.
