I think it's pretty evident that Cashman is going to look at what players he can pull off the scrap heap to compliment the Yanks and hope in the upcoming season that the team doesn't fall flat in the playoffs again.
The AL East landscape has changed with Boston dumping contracts. Tampa may lose more talent. O's and Jays are still significantly behind the Yanks in terms of talent level.
Hopefully we'll see some youth in action...
Right now, it does piss me off that Hernandez re-upped with Seattle without a opt out clause. Who's this guy's agent?

hernandez wasnt comfortable with the yanks, hopefully hes comfortable with losing

i want to state i am officially on the do nothing bandwagon
bring back garcia and colon, you have noesi in the wings to take over if they falter
unless they want darvish to tap into the east market, which i understand is a business decision....other than that, stand pat with one year deals and spend next FA which is loaded
