Detroit Tigers (10-9) @ Yanks (10-8): No Young love!

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Fri Apr 27, 2012 3:36 pm

We all knew Delmon Young was a head case but this is a new reach in stupidity: http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_ ... e-new-york

Some players act professional...some are players ARE professionals. Derek Sanderson Jeter who went to school in Michigan and owns UofM season tickets is having a great start to the season. Like Ted Williams had a 1957, or like Stan Musial had a 1962. A strong, late in life, validating year, which will make us all remember why we love him so much.

Both the Yanks and Tigers have stuttered after you think these teams have found their game. Yanks need to get their starting pitching on track sooner than later...but how is the question?

Pineda can be written off for all but Sept (at best)....

Garcia and Hughes are serving under handed soft balls.

Yanks are relying on CC, Kuroda, and Nova to drive the team...

And tonight, another test...

Verlander v. Nova: Yanks have hit Verlander on her home turf. I hope the young man continues to keep batters off balance.

Smyly v Garcia: Yanks vs. a pitcher they never saw before.

Scherzer v. CC: The ace is looking more like himself.

A-Rod seems locked in. He just missed that one.

LOVES Nova's heart but the top of the 6th with men on the corners was a perfect example of where he's a bit limited.

He's been dancing around scattering 8-11 hits per start but this time, the Tigers are stringing them together and producing runs. As a result, he cost the Yanks the lead. Going into the bottom of the 7th, Tigers 6 Yanks 5.

Jeter! No hits, but heads up baserunning and the game-winning run.

Awww...Burnett's gone.

JETES! oh hell yes. Captain makes something out of nothing, digging to third and scoring on back to back wild pitches.

Gonna have to win on guile until the pitching sorts itself out.

Just got back from the park, great time. Good win. Tigers were not letting Yanks get away easy.

I'm not very happy with it but I can understand with wider ramps and better way of filing in the crowd in and out.
