Yanks (26-21) @ Suburban LA Angelos (24-25)

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Mon May 28, 2012 2:48 pm

Now, the NY Rangers title run is over...neither the Yanks nor Mets can escape the scrutiny of the press. Fortunately the Yanks got hot against the A's to stave off their harshest critics. Despite all the Yanks troubles they are 2 in the loss from first place. They face a team similar to their own, Angels who added some big names but after a slow start could get hot at any minute.

Match ups...

Hughes vs Weaver: Big test for the California native. Hughes has pitched well against anemic offenses but let's see how he does against guys who have a big pop. Yanks offense also faces a test in Weaver. Is this power resurgence an albatross?

Pettitte vs. Haren: Dandy Andy showing the kids how to pitch even when you don't have your best stuff.

Nova vs. Santana: Nova's ERA is awful but he just wins.

Let's GO BOYS!

Yea, the pen depth is hurting, it's time to put Hughes back in the pen. It's obvious he's losing his confidence and not focused.

Tonight loss didn't help but the Yanks shouldn't be depending on Pettitte to be anything more than a #5 and yet, here he is being a #3 cause Hughes can't carry.

I also thought despite Andy losing, he wasn't bad for a guy who took a season off.
