Why not let Garcia bunt there?

I WOULD have attempted a squeeze. I mean what is there to lose?

and now soriano has the winning run at the plate, looking shaking, giving up solid hits to guys like lambardozi.. come on man... smh!

I wouldn't have minded either. I mean, there was only one out.

yea, I mean we pretty much know that garcia would be overmatched at the plate and then the next hitter wise would have to get a two out hit, so what is better to get that run home.. squeeze or a two out hit from wise? doesn't matter now I guess.. we won.. :D

Yeah I guess, but I would've still liked to see that call from Girardi rather than having an "it's all sealed up" vibe.

You're right though. Got to be happy about the win. 8-)

Life withut Mo...definitely heart attack inducing but a win is a win. Good 14 inning win. Toughens up a team.

Let's not even compare a classy guy like Mariano Rivera who has credentials to earn those moments vs an overpaid jerk like Soriano...there's a reason why Tampa hasn't missed that guy despite the saves. Not a great teammate at all. And that goes all the waaaay back to his days in Atlanta.

so should the Yankees still send Nova down to triple A?

On the Verge of being 9-2, 4.3 era, 73 k's in 84 inings.

Career of 25-8 so far. Since losing to the Reds, Nova is on the verge of being 5-0 and dropping his era from 5.6 down to 4.3.
