Hughes out until late july

Post#1 » by ccvle » Fri Jun 1, 2007 1:51 am

Seriously, what kind of f-ckon rehab they give down in tampa? How do you get additional and more severe injuries during rehab assign? First pavano and now hughes.

and how do you get grade 3 sprain from agility drills? what kind of f-king drills they were given him? Running on tennis balls? I had my grade 3 sprain after jumping 36" off the ground and landed on someone's foot.

Hughes, who has been in Tampa rehabbing a strained left hamstring for most of May, suffered a Grade 3 sprain - the most severe grade - of his left ankle while doing agility drills on Friday.

Hughes underwent an MRI on his ankle yesterday, and the test revealed the severity of the injury, which will keep him from getting on a mound for 4-6 weeks. The setback will likely push his return to the end of July or the beginning of August.

His spike got caught, simply bad luck. Some guys just roll their ankles over are fine, and some get severe sprains. Luck of the draw.

I got one of these sprains, they are painful and I still feel a little bit of pain one year later. Heal fast hughes

That's encouraging.

I badly sprained my achilles by drunkenly jumping off of a balcony like 4 years ago and to this day I feel it when I run. Sucks to be Hughes right now man.

I think my sprain was worse than grade 3, probably a 4 if the chart goes that high. The ankle doesn't hurt when playing or running, but it makes strong cracking noise when I grab my ankle and rotate it. This is still happening after 1 1/2 year.

You would think after that much time that sort of pain would go away. I'm goin on my fifth year with this crap and it still bugs the sh*t out of me. THe only thing is it won't last longer than an hour or two -- then it just disappears and returns like nothing happened.
